Rice Lake, a city of just under 9,000 people, draws from a base of 100,000 visitors and shoppers in Northwest Wisconsin. Rice Lake is one of the primary retail sources for area farmers, sports enthusiasts, and tourists that flood into the area each summer. The downtown area is reminiscent of another era and begs to be wandered! Numerous parks and walking trails offer plenty to do and see.
EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES
Rice lake has two public high schools, Rice Lake High and Barron County Alternative School. There are no private high schools in Rice Lake.
Rice Lake is the home of one public middle school, Rice Lake Middle and four public elementary schools, Hilltop Elementary, Tainter Elementary, Jefferson Elementary, and Lincoln Elementary. There are also two private elementary schools, St. Joseph School and Meadow Creek Adventist School
The Greater Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit business membership organization serving its members and the Rice Lake community. Its mission is to promote a strong growing economy through vision, active leadership, and community action which enhances the quality of life in the Rice Lake area.
